Alpha Auer and OMFG

I have been reading Alpha Auer’s posts in NPRIL since I started reading the blog. All her discoveries around the grid were simply amazing in creativity and totally different from what we could see around the blogosphere.

Yesterday I was exploring Mainland and came to a place I found interesting to take a picture and didn’t notice someone was there till I was positioning the camera – I hardly pay attention to my Mystitools radar. And there she was, Alpha, just standing.

Well I am a little shy when it comes to speak to bloggers I read and never met, cause I don’t want to invade their privacy, but this time I really had to talk to Alpha and congratulate her about her posts and her new begining as a designer. The place happened to be her store and she was very nice and we talked for a while.

I couldn’t resist taking with me what she had there for sale. Still not much but a promising work is on the way.

So I took all the dolarbie skins (6 I think) and the two outfits I show you bellow.

First the skins are very carefully made with colours and tatoos embeded that I haven’t seen anywhere else. I was really glad that these would suit my shape, cause it is not easy to find skins that don’t change how I look (ok, ok I’m picky, but most skins just make me look so different from what I am used to).

On the first picture you can see the alpha.tribe::: Golden Ammonite Skin, with beautiful golden shell tatoos on the skull and face and the alpha.tribe Basic Leotard (just L$ 50). With all the fuss about the sale on OMFG, I went there and bought the whole store. Kinda thought that some of the gear would look good with Alpha’s outfit, so I decided to accessorize with the Wings of Rust Thorn, the Big Brass Halo and the Hard Coat Venus Boots (recoloured).

Do I look like a futuristic sort of angel or what? hehe

On picture two I am just wearing the alpha.tribe Red Ammonite (full outfit). The skin is included and the hairdress moves softly around your head. The one shown on the picture is the small one, there is still a larger one in the pack, as well as an extra skirt just without the snake textured prims. The skirt prims attach to the belt, so you won’t have them sticking out of your butt.

I am not going to put the URL of Alpha’s store here, once it is not yet opened to the public. But keep tuned for further developments. Other credits and slurls bellow the pictures.

Farwest

All was quiet in Broken Hill. I had already took a ride around the town to see if everything was peaceful.

The only sounds which could be heard was the wood burning in the campfires at the Indian camp and the rolling of the coal wagons at the mine.

A bit tired from the ride I decided to have a little rest before going to the stables and see if the bulls were ready for the rodeo later on.

It was going to be a long day and the small prison cells would be crowded before the night ended and the barber would be busy taking care of the wounded from the rodeo and the fights. Lets just hope the undertaker won’t have much work, the village needs people to work at the mine.

What Should I Wear?

The lovely Achariya issued a challenge that contained photos in underwear and buying new clothes. Now, I do enjoy underwear pics, though I tend to think about this kind model for said theme. I also love to go shopping, so I was tempted to do it right away. Then I re-read it and found out I was the one undressing instead of the one doing the undress. Still it implies finding new shops and designers, dressing in something I wouldn’t normally wear and maybe talking Imso into doing the same. Believe me gals, he has a shape worth undressing (not that I have…). Ok, deep breath and here it goes:

Seen enough? Now please, Dress me up! It’s freezing in here!

Rules:

“1. Post a picture of yourself in your underpants.
2. In this post, invite your readers to suggest a particular outfit (or hair, jewelry, shoes, skin, etc.) from a designer for you to purchase and write about. (Designers, feel free to suggest items from your own line – why not, after all?) People who respond should explain why they like these items.
3. In the next few weeks, look back over the suggestion list and incorporate these ideas into your regular blogging, marking these entries with the tag “dress me up.” Post in as many or few suggestions as you want. It’s up to the blogger’s discretion to pick which items to wear, so no complaining if they don’t pick your idea, K?”

First Christmas Dresses

A year ago, more or less, I was living my first SLChristmas. There were lots of hunts for freebies and I, as all of us, wanted them all. “Free” is a magical word no matter what world we are talking about, specially when you don’t have money to spend. The invitations to big balls were falling in each notice and I did not had that special dress, the one that I thought would be the perfect Christmas Ball Dress. Then, all of a sudden my Christmas Dress story started…

The Good Ghost Dress of Christmas Past

So there I was wondering what should I wear to the next ball when the good news arrived: Constanza Volare, from Alchemy Angels, had made a lovely dress for the season and it was free. Wow, that was my thought!!! I knew Constanza’s work and loved it already. In fact my first Princess Dress, a gift from a friend, was from her collection. So I teleported myself to Alchemy and there it was, my first Christmas and red dress. I right clicked it and worn it. And then again: Wow, was the sound I made. The way it moved while walking and the softness gave me a comfortable feeling and I liked it. The texture was nice and the snowflakes on the bottom gave it the sense of fashion a ball dress should have. And then the final touch: the fur around the neck: classy and stylish. And all this for free??? Too good to be true, but it was!!! Don’t need to say that it was the dress I took to every Christmas ball and made a success with it. Thank God laundries work fast in SL. (lol)

The Good Ghost Dress of Christmas Present

This year I was almost having the same problem: no Christmas Dress for the balls. And then, guess who saved me again? Bingo!!! Constanza Volare!!! There I went to Alchemy to get my “Snowflake”. And isn’t it white an awesome colour to wear on Christmas too??? I right clicked (again) and worn it. Amazing surprise again!!! The way the skirt fell seemed like the texture would be a soft, gentle and a smooth piece of fabric falling over the skin. And again I felt comfortable on this side of the screen too. And comfortable is a word I associate with clothes: one should always feel comfortable with what one wears, even on SL. Specially on SL, because we get to dress things we probably would not wear in RL, but, as far as I’m concerned, one should feel good and at ease. Back to the “Snowflake”, on the back it has a gold bow that gives it the touch of colour it needs. Once again, Constanza used the fur. This time around the chest for the last classy and stylish  move. And again, like last year, for free!!! So if you want it just click here and go for your white Christmas Dress.

The Good Ghost Dress of Future Christmas

I wonder what will happen next year. Above all: will I still be on SL? Will I have a new Christmas Dress for the balls??? If I do stay on the metaverse then I hope so, and as they say  here, “Third time is a charm”. So Constanza, I’m counting on you for next Christmas Dress.

Fashion and virtual greetings
